Thorbjorn Jagland , a Nobel Committee prize Chairman, made a freudian comment as it was unanimous discussion vs decision to award Obama a Nobel Peace Prize. Thorbjorn Jagland, a former Norwegian prime minister who chaired the selection committee, rejected criticism that the panel had selected Obama more for his aspirations than his accomplishments. Critics, he said, underestimated the tangible changes Obama has already made in U.S. policy.

But Committee chair Thorbjoern Jagland has been an enthusiastic
Obama supporter in Norway. He was recently elected to the post
of Secretary General of the Council of Europe, the continent’s
leading human-rights watchdog, and would like the Nobel
committee to play a more political role.
